- 01/ INITIAL CONSULTATION

WHAT TO EXPECT
01/ INITIAL CONSULTATION
During your consultation, we assess whether microneedling is appropriate for your skin and concerns. We will ask about your health, medicines, skincare, previous treatments and past healing responses.
Additional factors may also be assessed:
- Your skin condition and the type of concern being treated
- Active acne, infection or an impaired skin barrier
- Medicines, skincare and recent cosmetic treatments
- Previous keloid or abnormal scar formation
- Expected recovery, risks and possible alternatives
We will discuss realistic expectations and explain whether microneedling or another option may be more suitable for you.
- 02/ TREATMENT

02/ TREATMENT
On the treatment day, we confirm that your skin remains suitable and review the agreed plan. The practitioner then prepares the area and selects the treatment depth for your skin and concerns.
Your appointment may involve the following steps:
- Review the treatment plan and provide consent.
- Cleanse and ready the treatment area.
- Apply topical anaesthetic when appropriate.
- Perform microneedling with a sterile, single-use cartridge.
- Review the skin response and aftercare instructions.
Temporary redness, warmth, mild swelling, sensitivity or pinpoint bleeding may occur. Your skin may also feel dry or begin to flake during recovery.
Less common risks include infection, prolonged inflammation, pigment changes, scarring or a reaction to a product used during treatment. We will explain when you should contact the clinic.
