- 01/ INITIAL CONSULTATION

WHAT TO EXPECT
01/ INITIAL CONSULTATION
A Morpheus8 consultation determines whether RF microneedling is suitable for your skin concern, planned area and recovery preferences. TAEGA assesses concerns such as uneven texture, selected acne scarring, visible pores or mild laxity, then reviews relevant medical history, medications, active skincare, previous procedures, pigmentation risk and healing history before discussing a personalised plan.
What TAEGA checks
• Skin factors: texture, scar pattern, pore visibility, laxity, tissue thickness and pigmentation risk.
• Current skin condition: active inflammation, infection, sunburn, irritation or broken skin may delay the appointment.
• Health and healing factors: medications, previous procedures, poor wound healing and abnormal scarring.
Before you decideTAEGA explains the proposed area, expected recovery, comfort measures, cost, relevant risks and possible alternatives. Clinical photographs may be taken with your consent to record the starting point and support a later review.
- 02/ WHAT HAPPENS DURING MORPHEUS 8?

02/ WHAT HAPPENS DURING MORPHEUS 8?
Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy. After cleansing and topical numbing, a clinician uses the Morpheus8 handpiece to create controlled micro-channels and deliver RF energy at selected depths. The settings are chosen for the area and skin assessment rather than applied as one standard preset. You may feel quick pinpricks, pressure and short pulses of warmth.
Morpheus 8 appointment at a glance
• Preparation: the area is cleansed, assessed and mapped where needed.
• Numbing: topical numbing cream is commonly applied for around 30–45 minutes.
• Device time: multiple facial areas commonly take around 20–45 minutes; larger areas can take longer.
• Immediate response: redness, warmth, mild swelling, tightness, tenderness or pinpoint marks may occur.
Before you leaveThe clinician checks the treated area and explains cleansing, skincare, sun protection, make-up, exercise and the timing of other cosmetic procedures. You also receive a contact pathway for questions and guidance on when a review may be appropriate.
