Discovering different types of PDO Threads: Your Premier Options for Enhancement

PDO Threads present a revolutionary method for lifting sagging skin, smoothing lines, and adding subtle volume to your face, all without the need for surgery. Crafted from absorbable suture materials, these innovative threads come in various varieties to address a wide spectrum of aesthetic concerns. In this article, check out three of the most notable types of PDO threads for your treatment.

How do PDO Threads work and what are they?

For many decades, the material has been used in medical procedures and is known to be safe, absorbable, and hypoallergenic. During a PDO thread treatment, sutures are carefully placed beneath the skin to provide instant lift and support. Once inserted, the threads stimulate collagen production, resulting in a more natural, youthful appearance with long-lasting results.

Types of PDO Threads

Each patient has specific concerns, such as moderate wrinkles, volume loss, and sagging skin. We offer three types of PDO threads to meet these requirements. During a consultation, we will recommend one of the following based on the patient’s condition and preferences:

PDO Mono Thread

Mono threads are smooth threads with no barbs. Many of these threads are placed in the face in a mesh-like fashion to tighten the skin. As a result, skin tightening usually improves after collagen begins to form around the threads. The neck, forehead, and the area under the eyes are the most frequently treated zones. However, it is important to note that mono threads tighten the skin but do not lift it significantly. Therefore, they must be combined with cog threads for an overall improvement in face tightening and rejuvenation.

Screw Threads

Screw threads can be one or two threads that are intertwined around the inserting needle. They have a significant effect on adding volume to sunken areas of the skin and are usually used for general face-lifting.

Cog Threads

Cog threads are essentially mono threads with barbs that hook to the underside of the skin. The barbs form a support structure that lifts the sagging tissue. Unlike mono threads, cog threads do not require anchoring points because collagen can also form around the threads and their barbs. Cog threads are most effective for jawline lifting and slimming.

Considerations for Personalized Treatment

We take pride in being a provider of effective PDO thread treatments, offering diverse types of PDO Threads to help you achieve the youthful results you desire. You’ll see results immediately, but there might be some swelling and bruising that can be concealed with makeup. Gradually, the results will become more evident as collagen production increases over the next few weeks.
