Dr Michelle Ling

Dr Michelle Ling (MED0002439379) graduated with a Doctor of Medicine from Monash University and has undertaken extensive training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery across several leading Victorian health networks, including St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, Western Health, and the Royal Children’s Hospital. She subsequently served as a Plastic Surgery Registrar at Barwon Health and Northern Health, where she gained broad experience in clinical decision-making, operative management, and reconstructive surgery. Dr Ling continues to maintain strong ties to the specialty through her ongoing work as a surgical assistant to Plastic Surgeons in Melbourne, remaining actively involved in both reconstructive and aesthetic surgical practice.

Throughout her surgical training, Dr Ling developed a particular interest in the aesthetic aspects of Plastic Surgery. While she valued the technical complexity and reconstructive principles of the specialty, she became increasingly drawn to the role aesthetic medicine plays in helping patients look and feel their best. This ultimately led her to focus her career on aesthetic medicine, where she combines surgical principles with a personalised approach to care.

Her years of surgical training continue to shape the way she practises aesthetic medicine today. Grounded in a deep understanding of anatomy, healing, tissue behaviour, and long-term outcomes, Dr Ling considers not only what looks better in the immediate term, but what will remain natural, balanced, and harmonious over time. Her surgical background instilled the importance of thoughtful treatment planning, sound clinical judgement, and adapting treatment strategies as a patient’s needs and goals evolve. She is committed to delivering refined, natural-looking results that enhance her patients’ unique features while preserving authenticity, balance, and function.
